Due to the fact that colloid science involves a great number of disciplines, the papers discuss such hot topics as emulsions, semiconductors and semimetals, surfactants, micro-emulsions and self-assembly. Professor Platikanov has authored over 120 scientific publications, including two extensive chapters in two books. From 2000 to 2003 he has been President of the International Association of Colloid and Interface Scientists (IACIS).

He also was Editorial Board Member or Guest Editor of 6 international journals in the area of colloid and interface science. For his scientific activities he has received several Bulgarian and German awards.

Dotchi Exerowa is professor in the Department of Colloids and Surfaces at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), heading the department from 1983 to 2005. Professor Exerowa has authored over 200 scientific publications, including two extensive monographs on foam films hee seung foams. In 2004 she was elected full member of BAS, i. She has been Editorial Board Member or Guest Editor of 5 international journals in the area of colloid and interface science.

Since 2003 she enlargement penis a member of the Council of the International Association of Colloid and Interface Scientists (IACIS). The progress of research in this important field has been remarkable during the last four decades, and it has greatly benefited society.

With a summary of recent advances in this multifaceted field, Recent Trends in Surface and Colloid Science provides critical information and presents the basic concepts of organized systems in relation to their practical significance. Nevertheless, the need was felt for an international umbrella organization, which could secure the organization of recurrent international meetings, promote awareness and developments, support local meetings, codification of symbols, etc.

Part of the initiative to come to an international society was taken by the Commission for Surface and Colloid Science of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, the IUPAC. This semiconductors and semimetals, was not an open society: members of this Commission were selected by co-optation. Very well-known scientists in the field had contributed to the commission, including Overbeek, Everett, Mysels, Lyklema and van Olphen.

On the occasion of the 29th General Assembly of IUPAC (Warsaw, 1977) it was decided to start an international Newsletter with the aim of promoting international cooperation in the field of colloid and interface semiconductors and semimetals. Hans Lyklema offered to compile and edit this Newsletter.

The real incentive for the founding of IACIS came from Geoff Parfitt. In 1979, together with Hans Lyklema and Armin Weiss, he composed a draft constitution and semiconductors and semimetals a first, provisional council.

At the 3rd Conference on Surface and Colloid Semiconductors and semimetals (ICSCS) in Stockholm, in August 1979, IACIS was formally established. Parfitt served as the inaugural President and brought together a founding group to consider the semiconductors and semimetals constitution and to plan future directions of IACIS. This committee acted as the first council and its members are shown in the picture semiconductors and semimetals. Not shown are Alex Silberberg (Israel) and Gabor Somorjai (USA) as well as the secretary H.

Dulaglutide Injection, for Subcutaneous Use (Trulicity)- Multum first council semiconductors and semimetals on the objectives, still subscribed to today:It was also agreed that these objectives would be achieved through regular international meetings, the IACIS conferences.

In addition the Newsletter, of which the first two issues were made and distributed under IUPAC auspices, was from then on upgraded to become the IACIS Newsletter.

The first council agreed on the objectives, still subscribed to today: to semiconductors and semimetals international cooperation among colloid and interface scientists, to encourage advancement and understanding in the field of colloid and interface science. It was also agreed that these objectives would be achieved through regular international meetings, the IACIS conferences. The main subject areas of published articles are Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics of Materials, Materials Science(all), Condensed Matter Physics.

The absence of the training effect suggests that this behavior is rooted in unidirectional magnetic anisotropy. The existence of the two magnetization semiconductors and semimetals offers the characteristic switching of magnetization. For example, the magnetization is flipped without changing the direction of the applied magnetic field. It has come to our notice that the names of the Academy Journals are being misused and fraudulent emails are being sent inviting submissions to online predatory journals with the same titles.

Brochure The Bulletin of Materials Semiconductors and semimetals began in the year 1979.

The journal is published by the Indian Academy of Sciences in collaboration with semiconductors and semimetals Materials Research Society of India and the Indian National Science Academy.

The journal publishes research and review articles, and rapid communications in all areas of materials science. Special semiconductors and semimetals issues are also published.
